The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has introduced Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui to the Awutu Traditional Council in the Central Region, as its candidate for the Awutu Senya West Constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The colourful event brought together about 40 traditional leaders including chief's, queen mothers, sub Chief's and family heads who constitute the traditional council.
Speaking at the gathering, the Paramount Chief of Awutu Traditional Area, Nai Abokuade Agyemang Wyettey Otabil lll, urged Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui to always pursue things that will serve the best interest of the constituents.
"This is your time to prove yourself. Be guided by developments in Winneba. Awutu police is operating from a rented property. Prioritise tourism too because Awutu has great tourism potentials.
On her part, the candidate assured the council of her commitment to the development of Awutu Traditional Area, promising to sustain the legacy of former parliamentarian, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, who happens to be her sibling, to lift Awutu to its rightful status.
She commended the people of Awutu for their unity, stressing it is one key factor she will ride on in bringing development to the people.
Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui was accompanied by former MP, Nana Larbie; Regional Youth Organiser for the NDC, Eric Dadson; Head of Monitoring and Evaluation at Regional Elections Directorate, Joseph Abekah and all the 28Constituency executives.
