Former President, John Dramani Mahama has won the NDC's presidential primaries in the La Dadekotopon Constituency.
In a two-horse race between himself and former Kumasi mayor, Kojo Bonsu, the NDC's 2020 flagbearer polled a total of 1,894 votes; representing a total of 98.7% of the total valid votes cast.
His only contender, Kojo Bonsu, garnered a paltry nine (9) votes out of the total 1,919 votes cast, representing 0.5%.
In all, a total of 2295 delegates were expected to cast their ballot. However only 1,919 showed up; representing a voter turn out of approximately 84%.
Sixteen (16) ballots were rejected; with no spoilt ballots recorded.
Meanwhile, incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has also retained her slot as the NDC's parliamentary candidate for the area.
