The National Petroleum Authority over the weekend organised a media engagement at Ho to sensitise journalists on petroleum products, fuel sourcing and other petroleum related issues in the country.
This is part of the NPA’s effort to educate the people of the Volta Region on how to source for petroleum products safely and efficiently.
The NPA's Director of Planning, Dominic Aboagye, noted that petroleum products contribute significantly to the country's economy, and it is essential to ensure their efficient and safe supply to the people of Volta.

He also emphasized the role of the NPA in regulating the industry and ensuring that petroleum products are of the highest quality.
He highlighted the importance of safety measures during the transportation and storage of petroleum products.
Mr. Aboagye spoke about the role of fuel stations in the supply chain and how they can ensure a steady and efficient supply of petroleum products to their customers.
He further emphasized the importance of proper inventory management, regular maintenance of equipment, and adherence to safety regulations.
According to Mr. Aboagye, fuel station owners need to be proactive in identifying potential supply chain disruptions and take appropriate measures to mitigate them.
“The NPA is committed at making sure that the public is well educed on the issues of petroleum through the media and the right things are done,” Mr Aboagye said.
