The Member of Parliament for the Assin South Constituency, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, and Deputy Minister for Education, has sponsored driver’s licenses for 100 drivers in the Assin South Constituency.
Speaking to the drivers during a refreshment at his private residence in Accra, Rev John Ntim Fordjour indicated that it is his vision to support all drivers in his Constituency, thereby reaching out to the authorities to seek their services.
The MP who spent over GH¢100,000 on the exercise indicated that this is just the first batch and that subsequent batches of drivers will also benefit.
"I decided to assist my constituents about a few months ago after paying them a visit to their various packing stations to interact with them.”
The premium service offered to the drivers took place at the head office of the DVLA in Accra on Monday, 4th March 2024.
Mr Ntim Fordjour promised to continue supporting all sectors of the Economy in his constituency, ie providing financial support to Traders, Farmers, and others.
The majority of the drivers who had the opportunity to speak with Bohyeba FM news said they are very happy with this initiative by the MP as it has cut down the cost of traveling to Accra and the regional capital, Cape Coast, for licensing services, and it's the first of it kind Any Member of parliament is doing such exercise for them.
