The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has appealed to delegates in the Eastern Region to retain the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, in the party’s upcoming internal elections.
Mr Okyere Baafi said continuity in the party’s leadership would be important to the NPP’s efforts to rebuild its structures and regain political power in the 2028 general election.
He made the call during a campaign tour by Mr Kodua, popularly known as JFK, through the New Juaben North, New Juaben South and Suhum constituencies.
Mr Okyere Baafi described Mr Kodua as a disciplined and hardworking party executive who, in his view, had demonstrated commitment and leadership during a challenging period for the NPP.
