Ghana is saddened by the news of the passing of former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
She was 76 and an iconic figure in the nation’s history. She founded the National Democratic Party (NDP) after leaving her late husband’s National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the party’s defeat in the 2016 general elections.
Until her passing, she had largely withdrawn from active partisan politics.
