The Supreme Court today heard the election petition case brought before it by the 2020 NDC Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
Today, lead counsel for the petitioner, Tsatsu Tsikata moved an application for stay of proceedings as he urged the court to review an earlier ruling on the decision by the respondents not to put forth witnesses.
The court had ruled that Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, could not be compelled to testify and be cross-examined as a witness in the election petition hearing.
Hence the review being moved by the petitioner.
