A group calling itself the Progressive Citizens of Akatsi-North District of the Volta Region has urged voters to support the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the upcoming elections, citing his vision for rapid national development.
At a press conference held on Friday, October 9, at Mitsrikasa, the group’s spokesperson, Mr David Kwaku Ketsi, emphasized that members, many of whom are first and second-time voters, have critically analyzed the messages of the presidential candidates and believe Dr Bawumia is the most capable leader to drive Ghana’s development.
The group, which claims no formal affiliation to any political party, argued that the country is at a pivotal moment that demands visionary leadership.

"The country is at a crossroads. We need a competent leader with a vision, not just a party loyalist. Dr Bawumia’s agenda for development stands out, and we are ready to campaign for him," Mr. Ketsi declared.
He highlighted Dr Bawumia’s focus on digitalization as key to Ghana’s progress, praising the candidate’s commitment to technological transformation through initiatives such as the National Identification Cards (ID), and the National Digital Property Address System among others.
Mr Ketsi concluded by urging Ghanaians to make bold decisions at the polls, believing that the country can only thrive under the leadership of a proven visionary like Dr Bawumia.
