Nigeria Football Federation media officer, Ayo Olu Ibidapo, has expressed his side's optimism towards the clash between Ghana and Nigeria despite a change in venue for the first leg.
The Black Stars were scheduled to play the Super Eagles at the Cape Coast Stadium but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) received complaints from Nigeria regarding the unfit condition of the stadium with less than two weeks to go.
But there was a consensus reached between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and CAF over the use of the Baba Yara Stadium instead should Ghana meet some conditions.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports, the Nigerian FF spokesperson believes there are no clear favourites in the clash
"Things have changed. It is not the same again. So it is going to be an interesting encounter." Ibidapo said.
"Everybody (in Nigeria) is very optimistic, especially with the kind of array of stars that Nigeria team parade at the moment compared to their Ghanaian counterpart. I am not saying Ghana does not possess the superstars."
Ghana is yet to release their squad for the clash with Nigeria on March 25 with the second leg coming off four days later.
