However, there is a growing sense of optimism of turning a corner this year with one team from the North expected to gain promotion to the Premier Division.

Real Tamale United (RTU), had represented the Tamale district in the country’s top flight till their relegation in 2013 and after almost a decade, the region has struggled to produce a representative.

The performances churned out by RTU and two fledgling Clubs in Steadfast FC and Tamale City in Division Zone one is filling many with hope of the grand return to Ghana’s Premier League.
