The former President of the Ghana Football Association, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, has dismissed requests to investigate the Black Stars' performance during the AFCON 2021 games.
According to him, there is no need for Parliament to initiate a probe into the performance of the footballers.
“There is no need for a probe now… We don’t have time for probes at the moment,” he said.
His comment comes after a remark by Kobla Mensah Woyome, who expressed his displeasure with the senior national team's exit from the tournament.
The South Tongu Member of Parliament (MP) attributed the failure of the Stars to the poor management and decisions of the GFA and government.
His submission on the floor of Parliament generated uproar among members who were livid over the terrible display and tactics of the Black Stars.
But, the former GFA Boss disagrees with the stance of the Parliamentarians.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Upfront on Thursday, Dr Tamakloe explained that his assertion is as a result of the little support given when it comes to following recommendations from past commissions.
According to him, Parliament should rather infuse financial support into the team.
He added that the country should be “focused on how to get the team, and how to put them on well pitches.”
Meanwhile, the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has decided to part ways with Black Stars Coach, Milovan Rajevac.
