The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), in collaboration with a joint security task force, has arrested the owner of Suad Collections, a popular clothing boutique in Tamale, for allegedly dealing in narcotic substances.
During a targeted operation in the Northern Regional capital, the suspect was reportedly found with 2,250 wraps of a substance suspected to be cannabis, as well as quantities of opioids.
NACOC officials said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on the illegal drug trade in the region.

The suspect remains in custody and is assisting authorities with investigations, while the seized substances have been sent for laboratory analysis.
Authorities have reassured the public of their commitment to tackling drug trafficking and related crimes across the country.
