Black Stars assistant coach, Desmond Ofei, says the technical team, together with the players, are determined to turn around their recent disappointments.
Ofei, who is one of the latest additions to the Black Stars technical team, believes the failure to make it to the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has left huge scars in the minds of Ghanaians.
The 37-year-old believes everyone is ready to get the national team back to where it belongs and that can only be achieved through a collective work.
"As we all know, it was a painful moment for us not to qualify for the AFCON this year in Morocco. But we've learnt a lot from the mistakes on and off the pitch and we feel like we are very hungry to try and rectify the situation," he told the GFA Media team.
"Once again, it's still hard work and through working together. We are willing to work really hard to rectify those mistakes."
Ofei's first assignment with the Black Stars will be the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
He has promised the team will treat the home game against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium as a final.
"I think we have to look at ourselves first because we have enough quality in the squad to make sure we perform on a day," he added.
"We want to also make the Ghanaian fans very proud of us, so it's very important that we give a really good performance against Chad at home, we are going to fight, and it's going to be a final.
"For us, I think it's very important to make sure that this window is wrapped up very positively and make sure that the Ghanaian fans are very happy with us."
Ghana's game against Chad is scheduled for Friday, March 21, with the game against Madagascar in Morocco slated for March 24.
