Telecommunications company MTN Ghana says it has resolved challenges that led to fluctuations in data services and international outbound calls experienced by subscribers on Thursday.
This follows numerous complaints by subscribers about their inability to undertake transactions over the internet.
MTN Ghana blamed the disruptions on “international undersea fiber cable cut” and assured residents that their engineers were working to restore systems.
Earlier on Saturday’ the mobile telephony company followed up with an assurance that it will work “tirelessly” to ensure that mobile data connectivity issues are fully resolved.
But in the latest in a series of communications, MTN says the challenge has been resolved.
“We are glad to report that we have resolved all issues with our internet service”, the statement read.
The company also expressed appreciation to subscribers for their patience while apologising for the inconvenience caused.
