An unidentified man, believed to be in his late 30s, was stabbed to death at dawn Thursday, by suspected armed robbers at Tarkwa-Maakro in Kumasi.
Residents were awakened by shouts for help from a male adult who turned out to be the victim. He was found lifeless with stab wounds and blood-soaked clothes.

The man, who was found in the supine position, appeared to be travelling when he was attacked by the unknown assailants at about 5 a.m.
A trader told Nhyira FM she heard a man shout "armed robbers, armed robbers” but she paid little attention to those shouts and boarded a vehicle to nearby Suame.

"I was on my way to work this morning when I saw a crowd here. I got closer and saw a neatly- dressed man in jacket with a white inner, with stab wounds in a pool of blood,” Yaw Nyamekye, a member of the Unit Committee at Maakro told the reporter.
He suspects the victim “might have been stabbed immediately after he had alighted from the bus or he was on his way to work.”
Residents want police to extend patrols in the area which they say is gaining notoriety for crime.
According to them, a man was stabbed in a similar fashion about a week ago in the same vicinity, a claim we cannot independently verify.
This is the third killing to be recorded in less than two months in Kumai . The body of 21-year old woman and drug store operator was found few meters from her Ahenema Kokoben Newsite home after she failed to return home after work.
The body of another female, 30-year old nurse was also found in similar fashion when she failed to return home fter work at Ayuom near Sewua.
Meanwhile, police at Suame have since conveyed the body to the morgue and appeal for public support as they launch investigations into the alleged killing.
