Police in Asunafo South District in the Ahafo Region are on a manhunt for a 50-year-old farmer who allegedly butchered his wife, Yaa Werimah, multiple times to death.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the deceased's farm near Abuom Forest reserve at Sankore.
The Kukuom District Police Commander, ASP Lawrence Adomire, who spoke to Adom News' Christian Ofori Kumah said, the incident took place in the presence of their 16-year-old daughter.
According to him, Agya Yakubu Kangriga then tried to attack his daughter after allegedly killing his wife but the young girl managed to escape.
The suspect is said to be on the run while the body of the deceased is being kept at the Goaso Government Hospital mortuary, waiting for preservation and autopsy.
