The declaration that 17 out 44 sitting NPP MP’s are to run unopposed in the impending primaries is causing disaffection among some party faithful in some constituencies in Kumasi.
Some constituency executives are not happy with what they see as deliberate attempts to disqualify certain candidates for sitting MP’s to have a field day.
General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu has called for the suspension of some party supporters who invoked curses after the disqualification of their preferred candidates.
At Asokwa for instance, Constituency Organizer, Eric Osei says the decision to sacrifice key aspirants to protect sitting MPs will spell doom for the party.
