Overlord of Dagbon Yaa-Naa Abukari Mahama II has called on all stakeholders to ensure the December polls are conducted peacefully so that no one feels cheated at the end.
He has also called on all political parties to conduct their campaign devoid of disturbance.
The Yaa-Naa said this when he welcomed Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his team to his palace, Thursday.
The spokesperson who read the speech on the Yaa-Naa Abukari Mahama II behalf thanked the President for his role in restoring peace in Dagbon.
He also praised President Akufo-Addo for gracing last year's Damba festival.
The Yaa-Naa further expressed appreciation to the President for cutting sod for the Yendi water project.
He, however, appealed for the construction and rehabilitation of the deplorable roads in the area.
He also appealed for the upgrade of the Yendi Hospital.
The Yaa-Naa said he has allocated 500 acres of land for the UDS campus and appealed for infrastructure if it's established.
He said the establishment of a university will help improve education in the area and also bring development through the creation of jobs for the youth.
Yaa-Naa Abukar Mahama II called for a plant research centre in the area to explore plant medicine.
