Former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has taken another swipe at the Presidency in a rejoinder released on Friday, addressing what he terms as “fabrications and falsehoods” in President Akufo-Addo’s acceptance letter to his resignation on Tuesday, November 17.
Among other things, the Citizen Vigilante accused the President, Akufo-Addo and the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta of being the masterminds behind the Agyapa Royalties Agreement.
Mr. Martin Amidu said his corruption assessment report on the deal, which clearly indicts the President, is evidence that when it comes to the fight against corruption, President Akufo-Addo is “an innocent-looking flower which also has a serpent under it.”
Today on Newsfile, host, Samson Lardy Anyenini and his guests will touch on the various allegations by Mr. Amidu and its likely effect on the President's re-election bid.
For the second part of the show, the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Political Risk Analyst, Dr. Theo Acheampong, and Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe will discuss the preparedness of the EC ahead of the December 7 polls.
The 3-hour show will end with a discussion on how the security agencies in the country will ensure an incident-free election.
The show will be aired on JoyNews and Joy 99.7FM at 9:00 am and streamed on MyJoyOnline.com.
