The Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muhazu Jebril has visited some victims of a rainstorm that hit several homes and schools at Damongo.
Many residents were left displaced following the unfortunate incident that took place on the evening of April 30.

The Minister and a team of NADMO officers from the region first visited Presby Primary and JHS where Mr Muhazu Jebril promised the school authorities that works to ensure the school is ready for students would be carried out by him.

Students of Presby Primary and JHS were expected to resume school Tuesday but teaching and learning has been halted to fix parts of the school that got damaged as a result of the rainstorm.

To the displaced residents, he indicated that some relief items would be provided immediately the NADMO officers have the actual number of persons affected is ascertained.
Meanwhile, the Savannah Regional Minister has entreated residents in the region to cultivate the habit of planting more treat as a measure to mitigate the devastating effects of rainstorms.
