Black Queens skipper Elizabeth Addo has called out the Youth and Sports ministry and the Ghana Football Association over the lack of high profile friendlies ahead of the commencement of the 2022 AWCON qualifiers.
The Black Queens have been drawn against defending champions Nigeria in the first round of the 2022 AWCON qualifiers.
The winner of the first-round tie between Nigeria and Ghana will face Niger or Cote d’Ivoire in the second round.
Ghana's opponent, the Super Falcons yesterday played out a three all draw against Portugal as they intensified preparation for the match.
.@ghanafaofficial @MOYSGh we saw 🇳🇬 play 🇵🇹 last nite n they gave a beautiful account of themselves. This a team we play a crucial qualifier game with in a few months and their prep is enviable. Black Queens need good international games to get ready. Please listen to us for once

The game prompted skipper Elizabeth Addo to call on the youth and sports ministry and the Ghana FA to organise high profile friendly matches to aid their preparation. Her post on twitter labeled Nigeria's preparation as "enviable" and urged the sports ministry and the GFA to "listen [to us] for once".
