Professor Andy Ofori-Birikorang, the Prof Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, has been officially notified to act as Vice-Chancellor until the appointment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor.
His mandate takes effect from Friday, 1st October, 2021.
His notification to act as Vice-Chancellor follows the expiration of the tenure of Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni.

Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni officially ended his tenure on the 30th September, 2021 and pursuant to Section 14 (2)(b) of the University of Education, Winneba Act, 2004 (Act 672) and Statute (10(21) of UEW Statutes (2020), the vacuum created ought to be filled.
Consequent to that, Professor Andy Ofori-Birikorang, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University has been mandated by the Governing Council of the UEW to act as Vice-Chancellor of the University.
