Head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac, says Thomas Partey will soon display his quality in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after an unconvincing performance in the opening game.
The Arsenal midfielder was expected to be the bright spot in Ghana's team against Morocco on Monday. But just like his teammates, Partey did very little to convince Ghanaians as the Black Stars succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Atlas Lions.
With two games still yet to be played that could decide Ghana's fate in the competition, Rajevac believes Partey will come good for Ghana in the subsequent games.
"Thomas Partey maybe this match [against Morocco] didn't play to his level. But in the next matches, he'll prove that he is a top player," the Serbian said at his presser ahead of the game against Gabon.
Ghana will play the Panthers in their next game in the competition at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on Friday, January 14, hoping to give themselves a lifeline as they target progression into the knockout stages.
A win for Ghana will take them to three points, level with Gabon ahead of the last group game against Comoros on Janury 18.
