Per recent reports from the Police Service, thirteen individuals have died after an explosion in Apeatse in the Western Region on Thursday.
According to the Director of Public Affairs of the Service, officially, 190 casualties were recorded by the National Ambulance Service and allied agencies.
During the course of the week, rival gangs in Nima and Mamobi in Accra engaged in a scuffle, leading to many injured. Nine have been arrested and are being prosecuted.
Also, Government has been unable to get members of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) to suspend their strike action and resume work. The Association began its strike on January 10.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Black Stars have left citizens disappointed over their abysmal performance in the 2021 African Cup of Nations. They were knocked out of the Group Stage with only one point.
