This year's edition of the Luv/Nhyira FM Fitness Walk in Kumasi attracted hundreds of participants, including many people from the corporate world.
It is arguably the biggest health and wellness program in the Ashanti Region.
The event started with an aerobic session and 'jama' morale booster to warm up participants for the walk.

The nine-kilometre walk required stamina and endurance, especially for first-time participants to complete the journey.
It started from the Kumasi City Mall through to Ahodwo roundabout, to Adum, then descending to Asafo interchange, Amakom through Stadium and back to the Mall.
"I am in a wheelchair, but my condition does not deter me. On the contrary, it's a joy to be out exercising every time. Indeed I wish Luv and Nhyira FM will organise this program weekly," said a physically-challenged patron.

Another said, "you can see I am in a cloth instead of a tracksuit. It is a representation of our ancestors when they used to jog. We are jogging for good health".
"Walks like this have kept a 61-year-old like me fit. So I entreat everyone to come out from their houses to join," a lady participant said.

Sponsors of the Luv/Nhyira FM Fitness Walk treated participants to meals and other giveaways packages.
"Those of us in the corporate environment do not get the chance to exercise. So this is a good initiative by Luv FM. Our reps are also interacting with the crowd in a bid to get more clients," said Raheemat Boakye, a representative of GT Bank.

Kwame Ampofo, Brands Marketer for Affi Plantain Chips, also said, "Our outfit made a good move by partnering with Luv FM. People are crowding our stands to have a bite of our chips. It will be a good thing if this event is organised weekly."
Williams Majeed Mahama, the Area Manager, North for Izwe Savings and Loans, said, " It was a great networking experience for us at Izwe. We hope Luv FM will organise more of such events to bring Kumasi together," he said.

CEO of Kokowura, Abigail Amoakowaah Bekoe, used the event to market her brand to patrons of the walk.
"The feedback from the crowd is encouraging. They were treated to some of our sumptuous breakfast packages. Thank you, Multimedia, for organising this program," she said.
The Luv/Nhyira Fm Fitness Walk coordinator, Eric Inkoom, said he is impressed with the turnout. He appreciated sponsors and patrons for making the event a success.
