Actress and musician Diamond Michelle Gbagbonah popularly known as Michy, says her ex-boyfriend, Shatta Wale, has greatly influenced her music career.
She told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Thursday that Shatta Wale discovered her singing prowess and moulded her professionally when they were together.
“I can say he discovered that part of me in a more professional way...I have always been singing in school and church,” she noted.
Aside from their hit single 'Low Tempo', Michy acknowledged that Shatta Wale also wrote her songs.
“I will release them and give him writing credit,” she said.
She said the unreleased songs she has are enough to make up an Extended Play (EP); however, she is not planning on going into full-time music anytime soon.
She described her current relationship with Shatta Wale as "non-existent”, stressing they are now "strangers".
When asked whether she was still in touch with the 'My Level' singer, she said, “There’s nothing to talk about”.
Michy is also a businesswoman and a student pursuing her LLB program.
She said she will specialise in Criminal Law.
The mother of one stars in YN Productions’ forthcoming movie 'The Men We Love'.
The movie producer, Yvonne Nelson, described her as an "outstanding" actress.
