Actress, Afia Schwarzenegger, has hinted that she would be contesting for Member of Parliament in the 2024 general elections.
In a post on Instagram, she revealed that she would be vying for the Adansi Fomena seat. The constituency she said is the hometown of her late father.
Afia Schwarzenegger, born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, posted some videos of herself in the constituency during her visit over the weekend.
In one video, some residents welcomed her happily and showed her around some parts of her father's hometown. They opened up to Afia Schwarzenneger about some of the challenges the constituency is facing.
“With the help of God and my personal angel (dad) I'm coming back to contest the Fomena seat in 2024,” she captioned one of her posts.
The actress noted that the people of Adansi Fomena deserved better leadership.
One of the hashtags added to the caption indicated that she would contest as an independent candidate.
Afia Schwarzenneger added “Adansi Fomena here we come!!!!”
The actress was in the constituency as part of preparations for her late father's funeral.
Afia Schwarzenegger lost her father on Jauanry 17, 2022. He passed away after suffering from a short illness.
She had announced his passing on Instagram. “My hero has gone to be with the Lord. Rest In Peace Daddy. I’m lost,” she wrote.
