Actor Chris Attoh has revealed he was not treated as a suspect in the case involving the murder of his second wife, Bettie Jenifer.
He indicated that claims suggesting he might have a hand in the demise of his wife are false, saying he was never invited for questioning by the Police, as was earlier reported.
According to him, Bettie’s death caused him intense pain and broke him down because he loved her, a reason he could not have planned evil against her.
In an interview with blogger Zion Felix, he dispelled the rumours about the subject matter but did not disclose details about his late wife.
Chris Attoh’s late wife, Bettie Jenifer, was shot dead in May 2019. She passed away less than a year after the coupled tied the knot on Saturday, October 8, 2018, in Accra.
She was killed by an unidentified male while leaving her office in Maryland in the US after work.
Bettie was shot multiple times by a man, Police say was black, while she walked to her car in the parking lot of her office at 6300 Block of Ivy Lane.
One of the bullets fatally hit her during the attack. Police declared her dead on the scene.
In November 2020, the actor took to Instagram to celebrate the birthday of his late wife.
He wrote: “Happy heavenly birthday, angel…your light still shines bright.”
