Even though the Russia invasion of Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic have created a global financial squeeze, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC), Yofi Grant says some investors have expressed interest in coming to Ghana to invest.
“I am coming from a trip and I can tell you people in the diaspora they are optimistic about investing here. I can tell you that three investors of Ghanaian origin have assured me they will be coming to Ghana to start their businesses in the ICT area”, he said.
He is upbeat with the ease of the COVID-19 restrictions globally; more investors will come to Ghana to invest.
Political stability
Mr. Grant pointed out that Ghana’s biggest advantage in the investment community is the political stability and peace enjoyed by the country---a condition that must not be taken for granted.
He stated that Ghana has been the number one choice for investment destination because of the political stability enjoyed by the country for decades.
“If you look closely, you will notice that all these big multinational companies moving here are doing so because they know that Ghana is a peaceful nation in the sub-region compared to its peers”.
