The contestants of the most thrilling cooking show on Joy Prime, Big Chef, have been given a further boost as the competition takes flight.
The 14 contestants have an opportunity to exhibit their culinary skills while entertaining viewers with their creativity and competing for a mouthwatering grand prize.
The ultimate winner of Season 2 will take home a cash prize of GHS10,000, a refrigerator, stove, and amazing products from sponsors, as well as the bragging right as the best kid chef in Ghana.
The first runner-up will walk away with a GHS5,000 cash prize, a fridge, a stove, and products from sponsors.
Also, the 2nd runner-up will win for him or herself a cash amount of GHS3,000, a fridge, stove, and products from sponsors.
The contestant who places fourth will go home with GHS2,000 in addition to a fridge, stove, and products from sponsors.
Speaking at the launch of Season 2 of Big Chef, the General Manager in charge of Sales at The Multimedia Group Limited, Mr. David Max-Fugar, indicated that he expects a very competitive show, hence the decision to increase the prizes.
He added that the show is designed to unearth the innate potential of the contestants as well as equip them with entrepreneurial skills.
"For us in marketing, we see Big Chef as one of the most effective platforms for brands to reach a very large audience that cuts across the entire demographics. I'm very delighted to have great brands sponsoring this year's event," he said.
Fourteen children, ages 10 to 14, were outdoored at a very colourful event in Accra on Sunday.
Season 2 of the Big Chef Reality Show is sponsored by Frytol Sunflower Oil, Fortune Rice, Indomie, Top Choco, Flora Tissues, Low Price Master, and Karen Mouthwash.
City Blood Tonic and Perk Biscuit are also making the competition possible.
