The Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done nothing better to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
According to Chief Hamilton Biney, this government, led by President Akufo-Addo, has disappointed the citizenry by not fulfilling its numerous promises.
He contends that the country’s socio-economic situation was better under the NDC than it is now.
Mr Biney noted that the constant attribution of Ghana’s economic woes to the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine smacks of gross incompetence and poor leadership.
“They have disappointed Ghanaians. The NPP can never do better than the NDC. They cannot… they came up with a message trying to tell Ghanaians that they were going to do something better obviously than the NDC.
“Even the President said that they should try him, and they gave him that opportunity, and this is what we’re seeing ourselves,” he said in an interview on Prime Morning.
‘Dumsor’
Chief Biney averred that the frequent power outages experienced under the John Mahama administration was fixed even before the NPP took over power.
"The NDC has done more than the NPP in terms of electricity extension. The ‘Dumsor’ they talked about… they said it’s as a result of bad management [but] we fixed it before we left office.”
He strongly believes the NDC is a better alternative to govern the affairs of the country.
He indicated that the NDC will do more things by investing in the country’s natural resources as it is currently doing in the cocoa sector.
