Nigerian champions, Rivers United have been handed a tough draw in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, in Egypt on Monday afternoon.
In Group B, Rivers United, the sole representative of Nigeria on the continent, will compete against Asec Mimosas of Cote d'Ivoire, Motema Pembe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Congo's Diables Noir.
The Port Harcourt-based team will play its maiden first game on February 12 against Diables Noir before welcoming ASEC Mimosas the following week.
Group A has: USM Algiers, Marumo Gallants, Al Akhdar and Eloi Lupopo, Group C consists of Pyramids FC, Asko De Kara, Future FC and ASFAR club while Group D housed TP Mazembe, US Monastir, Yanga SC and Real Bamako
The top two teams from each group will advance to the competition's knockout stages.
