A former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cast doubt on the formidability of the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives.
In an interview on JoyNews’ The Probe on Sunday, John Boadu said the NDC does not have a solid team to compete with the governing party.
According to him, there is no basis to compare NPP and NDC national executives.
He cited an instance of the opposing side using a game of football.
“You know a football team, you have a goalkeeper for Hearts of Oak and a goalkeeper for Kotoko and you are putting them against each other – they will not even meet before the end of the 90 minutes.

"You have number nine of Hearts of Oak and number nine of Kotoko and you are putting them together, that is not how it works,” he said.
“You have a party in government and a party in opposition. As for parties in opposition, sometimes their work is simple. Just sometimes make noise and go and sleep,” he added.
This, he explained is because the NDC could not collate their results during the 2020 election.
“When I listen to Asiedu Nketia and his explanation as to why they were not able to put together a competent team to collate their results, you listen then you ask your self is there any basis to compare him to even anybody.”
He also stated that the opposition party does not have the economic power to manage the economy.
