Aduana FC took another step closer to their quest to win the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League following their narrow win over Medeama SC on Sunday, March 12.
The Dormaa-based side recorded a 1-0 victory over the Yellow and Mauve lads on matchday 21 of the league as they went five-point clear at the top of the league table with Kelvin Obeng scoring the only goal of the game.
Earlier on Saturday, Hearts of Oak dropped two points away from home when they faced Bibiani GoldStars at Duns Park.
Evans Owusu gave the Miners an early lead in the fifth minute but GoldStars failed to hold on for all three points as Isaac Mensah grabbed an equaliser for Hearts in the dying embers of the game.
In a local derby in Tamale, Real Tamale United were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
On his return to Accra to face his former side, Annor Walker and Samartex grabbed a point against Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Karela United were 1-0 winners over Nsoatreman at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park while Berekum Chelsea and Kotoku Royals secured wins over Legon Cities and Bechem United respectively.
The game between Accra Lions and Dreams FC is set for Tuesday, March 13 at the Accra Sports Stadium,
