Ghana Athletics has submitted its list of athletes for this year's World Athletics Championships to be staged in Budapest.
The list is led by Ghana's 200 metres record holder, Joseph Paul Amoah (20.08s), who won bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the country's first since 1978.
Joe Paul, who anchored Ghana's relay national record run of 38.07s in the World Championships in Oregon, will be joined by Isaac Botsio, James Dadzie (19.79s), Sarfo Ansah, and Edwin Kwabla Gadayi.
Rose Yeboah, who won gold in the just-ended University Games in Chengdu, China, with a national record jump of 1.94m and Deborah Acquah, bronze medalist in the Commonwealth Games last year, are also in the mix for the event which starts on August 19, 2023.
Team Ghana is currently training in Paris ahead of the competition and will fly to Budapest on August 16.
The relay team will have Joe Paul, James Dadzie, Sarfo Ansah, Isaac Botsio, and Edwin Gadayi.
