Alan Kyerematen's decision to withdraw from the NPP flagbearership race has generated many reactions with even celebrities weighing in.
The former Trade Minister made his announcement on Tuesday, August 5, 2023, in a statement that quickly went viral on social media, leaving many Ghanaians shocked and disappointed.
Mr. Kyerematen, who had secured third place in the party's August 26 special delegates conference, cited intimidation of his agents and concerns about the race being structured to favor one candidate as reasons for his withdrawal.
While some Ghanaians on social media insisted that he should have persevered to the end, others showed support for his decision.
