Ho Technical University has emerged as the winner of Joy Prime’s culinary battle, Big Chef (Tertiary Edition).
The contestants outshined the other finalists from Takoradi Technical University and Kumasi Technical University with intriguing creativity in the execution of the day’s task within the allocated time given to all contestants.
All three finalists were given one and half hours prepare a three-course meal.
Ho Technical University contestants, Sandra, Elizabeth, and Godsway, had put in their best performances throughout the season and did not hesitate to impress the judges more at the grand finale.
The contestants have won star school of the day four times in a row, making them the ones to have won the most throughout the 12 episodes of the season.
Ho Technical University ran off a GH₵20,000 cash prize, a 10,000-litre Sintex Tank, and other amazing products from sponsors of the show. They have also earned the prestigious title of being the best technical university in culinary
Takoradi Technical University emerged second and took home a GH₵10,000 cash prize, including products from sponsors, while Kumasi Technical University won third place, backing themselves with GH₵5,000 and products from sponsors.


The Big Chef Tertiary kitchen battle started with six schools, namely Accra Technical University, Takoradi Technical University, Koforidua Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, Ho Technical University, and Cape Coast Technical University.
The grand final took place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the Volta Region, specifically Ho Technical University campus, and all participating schools were largely represented.
