Asante Kotoko beat Nations FC in the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Two goals from Steven Mukwala and others from Richmond Lamptey and Isaac Oppong sealed a 4-2 win for the Porcupine Warriors.
The Ugandan forward set the tone for the victory after just six minutes played at home scoring to give Prosper Narteh Ogum's side the lead.
Seven minutes later, Oppong grabbed his second goal in his last two games as he tapped into the net from close range to double the lead.
Lamptey also got onto the scoresheet shortly after as Kotoko looked ready to riot but Nafiu Sulemana reduced the deficit for Nations before the break.
Mukwala wrapped up his brace four minutes after the interval before Asamoah Boateng Afriyie pulled one back for Nations FC to end the game 4-2, with Asante Kotoko progressing to the round 32.
In other games played on Tuesday, Great Olympics beat Golden Kicks 4-3 on penalties while Na God lost 2-1 at home to Vision FC.
