Ghana’s Swimming National Team are aiming to end the country’s medal drought at the 2023 African Games
The ten swimmers selected by the Association and technical team have been in camp for several days preparing intensely to make a mark at the continental event.
Captain and Ghana’s 50m & 100m Butterfly national record holder, Abeiku Jackson, 100m Backstroke National Record Holder Nubia Adjei are the senior figures within the group.
The African Games swimming competition starts on Saturday, with Team Ghana set to compete against top nations.

The other budding athletes are Joselle Mensah, Unilez Takyi, Christian Nortey, Harry Stacey, Titus Ankrah, Kow Jackson and Theodore Asampong Kwaa Jnr. and Ivan Snowden.
"The Association has really taken their time to bring in these quality swimmers," Assistant Coach Daniel Opare - who was with the team at the World Aquatics hosted in Doha, Qatar in February, told JoySports.
"The team here, I believe is the best we have and they are really going to make a statement for us."
Abeiku and Nubia also shared similar goal of improving and hopefully winning a medal for the country.
The Swimming competition, which begins on March 9 will last for five days.
