Ghana Women's U-20 captain, Afi Amenyeku, presented her 2023 African Games gold medal to her father following the end of the competition.
The goalkeeper played all five games at the competition as the Black Princesses clinched gold medal going unbeaten in the process.
Ghana faced Nigeria in the final of the women's football event at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Despite committing a howler that led to the Falconets' opener, Amenyeku calmed her teammates for the remainder of the game as they claimed a 2-1 win after extra time.
The shot-stopper, on Tuesday, March 26, shared photos of her with her father as he presented to him the medal from the competition.
"One of the happiest man on earth right now. Owner of AMENYEKU having a feel of the GOLD MEDAL. Will forever cherish this day. ALHAMDULILLAH," she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
