The New Patriotic Party flagbearer for election 2024, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his well-wishes to Christians in Ghana as they celebrate the Easter festivity.
The Vice President stated that the Easter holiday should be a time for reflection and unity, as the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is appreciated and celebrated.
“Today marks the beginning of a momentous event on the Christian calendar, Easter.”
“This occasion brings to us a time to unite, reflect and appreciate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to humanity and the values he embodies. That is mercy, love and selflessness,” he said.
The Vice President and his wife extended their warmest greetings to all Christians in Ghana.
“Samira and I extend our fervent greetings this Easter to all Christians. May the celebrations leave us with fond memories, good cheer, and glad tidings. Happy Easter Week,” he said.
