The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended its congratulations to Ghanaian workers on the occasion of the May Day celebration, acknowledging their pivotal role in the nation's progress.
In a press statement issued on May 1st and signed by the NDC's General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party highlighted the indispensable contributions of Ghanaian workers to the country's development, emphasising that without their sacrifices, Ghana would not be where it is today.
The NDC assured Ghanaian workers of its commitment to implementing policies that honour their sacrifices, should the party emerge victorious in the upcoming December elections.

Among the key policies outlined in the statement is a commitment to introducing measures aimed at controlling inflation and enhancing job security, which the party sees as essential for safeguarding the welfare of Ghanaian workers.
Furthermore, the NDC plans to overhaul the tax system to alleviate the financial burden on workers and redirect government spending towards public benefits that improve their quality of life.
Mr. Kwetey concluded the statement by reaffirming the NDC's dedication to championing the interests of Ghanaian workers and ensuring that their contributions are duly recognised and rewarded in the nation's development agenda.
"As we commemorate Workers' Day, the NDC commits to a future that truly honours your sacrifices with decisive actions rather than mere words."
"Your hard work is the bedrock of Ghana's prosperity. Under an NDC government, we vow to transform these challenging times into an era of abundant opportunities and enhanced livelihood for every Ghanaian worker."
"Together, we can usher in a new dawn of fairness, economic security, inclusive growth, and prosperity. Stand with us, for with the NDC, a brighter future is not just a promise—it is a commitment."
