In a heartwarming celebration of motherhood, expectant and nursing mothers at the Keta Government Hospital in the Volta Region expressed their gratitude and delight as they celebrated their first Mother's Day in the newly constructed Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) block, courtesy of the MTN Ghana Foundation.
The state-of-the-art facility, equipped with modern amenities and furnished to provide comfort and care, stands as a testament to MTN Ghana Foundation's commitment to supporting healthcare infrastructure in the country.
Health workers and patients alike were beaming with joy and appreciation for the new facility.

Grace Golo, who is overseeing the maternity ward, expressed her gratitude, stating, "This new block has transformed our ability to provide quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. We are incredibly thankful to the MTN Ghana Foundation for their generosity and dedication to improving healthcare."
The NICU block, equipped with specialised equipment and staffed with skilled medical professionals, provides critical care to premature and sick newborns, ensuring they receive the best possible chance at a healthy start to life.

One of the nurses, who works in the NICU, said "The new facility has greatly enhanced our ability to monitor and care for infants in need. It's truly a blessing for both the staff and the families we serve."
For the mothers celebrating their first Mother's Day in the new facility, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and hope.
Sarah Aku , a new mother, expressed her joy, saying, "I couldn't have asked for a better place to welcome my baby into the world. This Mother's Day is extra special knowing that we are in a safe and comfortable environment, thanks to MTN Ghana Foundation."
