The National Democratic Congress' Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region, Edem Agbana, is urging the government to swiftly extend assistance to Maphlix Farm, which suffered significant damage during last Sunday's rainstorm.
Mr Agbana emphasised the severe impact of the devastation on the farm, which serves as a vital source of income for many people in the constituency.
Following his visit to the affected farm, Agbana spoke to the media on Monday, May 27, expressing his solidarity with the owner and other affected individuals.

Highlighting the farm's role in showcasing the agricultural potential of the constituency, Agbana underscored the collective concern among stakeholders regarding the destruction caused.
He emphasised the urgent need for government support to aid the farm in its recovery efforts and to bolster its capacity to contribute further to the constituents and the nation as a whole.
"This is a very big investment in our constituency. Apart from the fact that it has been a source of income for hundreds of farmers, it is also a strategic investment that seeks to highlight the agricultural potential of our constituency."
"So, it is a farmer that we are all proud of. So this morning when the news got to us that the farm had been affected by the downpour last night, we decided to come and assess the situation and also offer our little support and ask the government to immediately offer some level of support to the company," he said.
