Chairman of the Manifesto Committee for the Bawumia Campaign Team has lauded the manifesto put forward by New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a decisive and all-encompassing response to the needs and concerns of Ghanaians.
In an interview with JoyNews ahead of the launch of the manifesto, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu emphasized that the document is a product of careful consideration and reflects a blend of Dr. Bawumia’s vision along with the feedback gathered from citizens during his nationwide engagements.
He noted that the manifesto addresses key issues facing the country and demonstrates the NPP’s commitment to driving development and improving the lives of all Ghanaians.
According to Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the manifesto is not just a collection of promises but a strategic roadmap aimed at tackling the pressing challenges identified through direct interaction with the people.

“We were with him wherever he went, wherever he engaged the people and took out issues that came up. He has used it to fertilise his vision. Because that man admits that notwithstanding what he has achieved in life, he is not the repository of knowledge, wisdom and experience.
“So, we have a mixed grill of his focus and we have fertilised that idea with what we had from the people that we engaged to come out with this comprehensive vision.
“When he met the people, they raised several issues as I said. We have sieved them and brought all of them. So, this manifesto now is a bold attempt to respond to the issues that were raised,” he stated on Sunday, August 18.
The former Majority Leader added, “So that at the end of it all, Ghana with the development agenda, will have a value addition that is unprecedented and we hope that by this we will be able to reposition Ghana.”
