Ghanaian highlife musician Bisa Kdei has revealed that he wanted to keep his wedding a secret because he wanted to shield his wife from negative opinions from netizens.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Bisa Kdei said: "I wasn't scared. I am protecting my wife from social media. I don't want people to come and say anything about my marriage. That is how I like it.
"My wedding was a coded affair. I did it in January. I didn't want anybody to hear about it. Somebody leaked the video. There were soldiers and a lot of people at the ceremony," he explained on Hitz FM.
He further emphasised his point by sharing an experience at one of President Akufo-Addo's daughter's wedding, where despite measures to prevent photography, someone still managed to take and share pictures on social media.
Bisa Kdei also recounted how news of his mother's passing surfaced on social media without him announcing it, highlighting his desire for privacy.
The musician tied the knot with his partner on January 13, 2024, in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and colleagues musicians, including Gyakie, Sista Afia, and Sefa.
