Presidential candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama is accusing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of fabricating fake opinion polls.
According to him, this is because of the fact that all credible polls predict an NDC victory in the upcoming election.
These remarks come as he intensifies his campaign in the North East Region.
This area is the home of NPP Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
But Mr Mahama has vowed to defeat him in his own backyard.
Earlier this week, a poll by Global InfoAnalytics projected that Mr Mahama is maintaining a considerable lead over NPP's Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The poll showed Mahama capturing 51.1% of committed voters, while Bawumia trails with 37.3%.
