The Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mawutor Agbavitor, has praised the party’s running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, following her recent two-day tour of the Volta Region.
During her visit, the running mate toured eleven constituencies in the region, following in the footsteps of the NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
In a press statement issued on Friday, 8th November 2024, Mr Agbavitor said: "The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region extends its deepest appreciation and gratitude to Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang and her dedicated campaign team for their remarkable two-day tour across eleven constituencies in the region."
He added: "This tour, which brought the NDC's message of hope, progress, and development to the hearts of our people, has reignited the spirit of unity and commitment across the region. We are inspired by the vision and policies shared by Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang and the promise of resetting Ghana, placing her on the springboard of rapid development under the sincere, honest, and empathetic leadership of the NDC, when given the mandate in December 2024."
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the party in the region, the Chairman said: "The leadership, members, and supporters of the NDC in the Volta Region are immensely grateful for the tireless efforts of Prof Naana and her team. Their engagement with our constituents has not only strengthened our resolve but has also highlighted the critical importance of the upcoming elections for the future of our region and our beloved country."
Mr Agbavitor expressed optimism about the outcome of the upcoming December polls, noting that the message conveyed by the running mate has resonated strongly with the people of the region.
"We are confident that the message of hope for a much brighter future for the currently suffering citizenry has resonated strongly with the people of the Volta Region," he said. "We look forward to working tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC in the December 2024 elections. Thank you, Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang, for your unwavering commitment to the NDC's 'World Bank' and to the party's vision for a prosperous and united Ghana."
