Nana Akomea, Vice Chairman of the Bawumia Campaign Team, has expressed strong confidence that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during an interview on Channel One TV, Akomea acknowledged that the ultimate decision lies with the electorate. However, he firmly emphasised his belief in Bawumia’s capability to secure a win.
Akomea further highlighted the NPP’s determination to perform well across the country, with a particular focus on the Greater Accra Region.
He stressed that the party is committed to winning a majority of parliamentary seats in the region, which is crucial for any party's overall success in Ghana's elections.
The Vice Chairman expressed optimism that the NPP’s strategies and Bawumia’s leadership would resonate with voters, ensuring a strong performance at the polls.
“I’m confident but it remains at that level of confidence. The NDC too, if someone were to speak for them, will also be confident, they will remain at that level of confidence."
“Fortunately for us, in another three weeks, the electorate will speak and everybody will see their confidence level. But I’m optimistic that Dr Bawumia will win the elections and the NPP will carry parliamentary votes.”
