A former chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International, Apostle Stephen Kwame Amoani, says that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is the right person Ghana needs as president.
According to him, he has known the presidential candidate since 2015, and Dr Bawumia has demonstrated his love for humanity, always working for the peace and development of the country.
“I have known Dr Bawumia since 2015, and I can attest to the fact that he is a great unifier,” he said.
In a video message, the man of God called for support for Dr Bawumia, emphasising that he is the right person to lead the country, stating, “I believe that Dr Bawumia is the kind of person our nation needs now; he can bring all of us together to build and develop our country.”
He said the flagbearer is a beacon of peace who, over the years, has unified the two main religious groups in the country—Christians and Muslims—for the development of Ghana.
“This is a man who, for eight years, has brought Muslim and Christian leaders together to break the Muslim fast and also prayed for the peace and development of the nation,” he added.
Apostle Amoani went on to praise the flagbearer, saying, “Dr Bawumia is the type of man who always strives as a man of peace. He stands for peace and is the definition of the word peace.”
He then called on Ghanaians to “Vote for the peace and development of our nation, Ghana.”
The apostle’s message comes barely 48 hours before the December 7 polls. Meanwhile, the two most popular parties, the NPP and NDC, are to hold their final rallies in Accra on Thursday, December 5.
